RYAZAN AND SAMARKAND TO BECOME BE TWIN CITIES

On November 12, a delegation from Ryazan to Uzbekistan held negotiations in the Khokimiyat (Mayor's office) of Samarkand on signing an agreement on partnership in the sociocultural and economic spheres and on officially recognizing Ryazan and Samarkand as twin cities.

On behalf of Ryazan, Artem Nikitin, General Director of the Development Corporation of the Ryazan Region JSC, took part in the negotiations, and representatives of Uzbekistan side: Deputy Khokim of Samarkand, Head of the Foreign Trade Investment Department of Samarkand Khokimiy at Erkinjon Radjabov.

The parties have agreed to develop a roadmap that provides for strategic long-term cooperation in the cultural, social, educational, touristic business, investment and trade areas, and outlined areas for co-operative work.
